There are a lot of details and aspects of new PCs and modern computer technology in general that I don't find a lot to like about. What would things be like if I was in charge, though? Forgive me fo ...

"The greatest OS of the 20th Century?" That's a bit of a big question.

I believe I had selected MS-DOS when I cast my vote a few months ago, simply because it was groundbreaking for the ...

I believe most of the schools and libraries I'm familiar with who locked Windows 95-XP down to the nth degree did so with third-party software such as Fortres or Deep Freeze.

I made some screenshots of Netscape 1.0 a few ages ago; you can see them lot of improvements in versions 1.1 and 1.2; fairly impressive considering that they were released only a few months later!

The 386Page forums are a wasteland, although as long as we can communicate on Uncreative Labs that shouldn't be too much of a problem to our well-being. Wink

Windows 3.0 with Multimedia Extensions is legit: http://toastytech.com/guis/win3mme.html

It's super-elusive, however, since it was available only for a very short time (apparently) only from OEMs. ...
