You could try Damn Small Linux.
http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/
It's a full Linux distro in just 50 megs. Contains lots of goodies even though it's so small |

There should be a confirmation code function in phpbb. (displays a random image with a code you have to enter). That should stop the bots.

- Don't really like the layout.

Socket 754 is on its way out. With Socket 939, you'll still have a few years of upgradeability.
And s939 CPUs and Mobos aren't that much more expensive nowadays anyway. |
