Posting from my Freedos installation (staring to get the hang of it Smile ) using Dillodos on the IBM 100DX4.
Works surpricingly well, faster and better looks than Archne (starting to be obsolete ? ) on ...

After a lot of trial and error I got the 3c509 card working in DSL, after many tries with GRUB load error 15, but now it is on a CF/IDE harddrive and work fine Very Happy

I have an 3272 with a 5272 display with a slot 8 and it has an ethernet cardof some kind. As mentioned in the link about sot 8.
Does it work well with CF ? does it show up as a harddrive ?

Nice, one can attach ground to pin 12 though and only drill for pin 20.
What would happen if I removed the ROM s with DRDos (U43 and U49) would it work as normal with floppy and hdd ?

I did the drilling and the soldering without taking the MB out or taking it of Smile because I am lazy and here was space to do it.
