I was just curious to know what you guys think the best books are out there that teach troubleshooting of Windows and go in depth about the operating system. I would like to re-learn it from a Windows NT/2000/XP perspective. |

Lol.. just kidding.
The best book is debateable. So you may want to invest in several of them. If its XP you are trying to learn you don't want anything published before 2004 because they won't cover the changes in Service Pack 2. The OS is much different now because of SP2. I would recommend a copy of Windows XP Inside Out Deluxe 2nd Edition, its published by Microsoft Press. You definitely want to invest in a book from an independent party (i.e. Non-microsoft) as well. Check out O'Reilly Publishing, they have good titles but they can be extremely deep and technical. But others such as the Windows XP Cookbook can be really good.
