the orange on white is not rwally easy to read, otherwise nice layout!

which windows 2.0 version do u have for download? windows 2.0 /286, windows 2.0 /386, windows 2.03, what language ... there were quite a few different windows 2.x versions and languages ...

That's a really great design! Thank you for not using images for text! In fact, your page uses no images whatsoever! That is the true definition of "hypertext". Smile Your layout is great too since it is still totally usable in a browser without CSS support.

well why do you tell me to use css but write here that his site is good b/c he doesn't use css?

You're right, that was a bit hypocritical.

Anyway, his site does use a bit of CSS, though it is mostly using presentational extenstions to html.

After I wrote my post I also noticed that the dimensions of the tables on OSmaniac's site are specified using absolute values. This is not too optimal since it does not allow the layout to scale to different sized displays.

Anyway, you can create drop shadows using CSS! See here: http://www.w3.org/Style/Examples/007/shadows.html
