Photonics Corp acquires DTC Data Technology Corp in 1996

Which is about the time that all motherboards had built in I/O and IDE so DTC had nothing to sell. Photonics at the time made wireless network products.

I didn't bother to google and see what became of Photonics.

It's unlikely much survived (even though there's a few companies named "Data Technology Corp." still out there). So many mergers have occured since the 70's that what a company was doing then may be nowhere near what they do now. Remember when AT&T was "American Telephone & Telegraph" which was broken up into individual "Bell's" in 1984? Now "at&t" is little more than a moniker for what was SBC and it's ability to re-integrate the "baby Bells"...

They made SCSI cards compatible to an extent with adaptec drivers, i have one called the DTC Photonics 3510 in an old AST box and a DTC 3520 waiting for a good home

the 3510 does not boot
the 3520 boots

both are decent performers even in a 386sx-20
