It seems this week I've been getting one spam message every two hours. Is anyone else getting spammed way more than they have been?

Telemarketers you can at least respect... They're trying to make a living. Spammers are the most despicable low-life creatures there are. They try to take advantage of you, hiding behind all kinds of tricks and obscuring the truth.

I can't respect telemarketers, because they don't respect me.

12 spams a day isn't real bad, but when it gets to 20 it's time to get a new email address.

and don't give it to anyone, unless you really need to. I have half a dozen email addys for various purposes, only one gets spam, and it's the one that is on the internet for all to see, in various places. It has the word "spam" as part of the email address, so I think that helps cut down on bot spam because they know that you have to take the word spam out of the addy for it to work.

You only get 20 a day? I get that in an hour in my oldest account (~9 years old now). I'm just glad my website's email has a strong filter. I get perhaps 3 a month in that account.

if it gets up more than 20 I change the email address.

I don't get any spam on some of my accounts.

I have three email addresses, twon of them forward all the incoming mails to the third address, so I get like between 20 and 30 spam mails per day. one of those addresses is somewhere around 6 years old, the other one is three years old and is my primary spam address and the third one is just over one year old and the one with the least spam.
