Try running HiJack This, a program designed to tell you exactly what's running on your system. Look for anything you find that's slightly suspicious.
Also, do you have some kind of search side bar popping up? |

my recommendation would be to run Spysweeper or one of the other spyware removers like spybot.

I am running a "true clone" of the 4g drive on the troublesome system. it does not happen here
I did clear all history within mozilla.
and it seems... to happen infrequently on that system.
this has been a "troubled system"
it crashed and finally I put ina 3com NIC card in and it let me on the net w/o running internet connect wizard
it hardly burped installing the NIC.
otherwise the system is fine. |
