Back in yeah olde days I remember at school a rather boxy scanner that was attached directly to a laser printer.
We were allowed to use this occasionally instead if the copying machine.
Any ideas what that was?
My folks are burning through the overpriced all in one printers and do a lot of copies for invalid relatives and I have lots of old B&W and color lasers laying around I could use that would be much much cheaper.
Other option would be to find a cheap old B&W copier, main concern is reliability and cost of toner/ink.
As of yet I haven't found anything I care, the cost per page nowdays is sky high or reliability is terrible, ah well |

Do you remember any more details about the scanner? You may try a Image Search with the little bit you do remember, and see if anything familiar comes up.
This looks like a good option, but I haven't used it. Be careful, they bandy about the word "free" like it only means "it costs you $0.00" instead of "Without charge or other payment."

My Internet senses are telling me that it's probably ok, but keep your guard up. |
