sounds not so useful?
well it is. There are, of course limitations. controlled by dos versions.
I have not tried an sd card over or at 4gb with dows 6.22.
but with w 98 se 4g works fine.
I recall that with IDE drives and the updated FDISK, 40k seemed the limit.
that out of the way how can it be really useful.
a good sd card should have no errors,.
but my experience has been odd problem with some cards.
I use them to play music and listen to books for the blind.
format dows not reaqlly check a drive.
I made a floppy that acesses a sd card or other solid state card.
and included scandosk.. this checks the drive. I may add NDD on a later version.
this will NOT mess up ytour newer PC.
it will not see large drives or any NTFS drive.
On my system it only will see the sd card.
limited but in my case really usefulk,
I hope to hear from others who have tried and used this |
