I found it years ago searching for help with my XT. I remember the message that said talking about anything above a 386 was punishable by death, and it had a different logo, green I think. It seemed a lot busier than it is these days also. There was Stephen Pearce, WiccanLinuxMan, oh and who can forget the vile Raven who was always causing problems. I tried to find it on the wayback machine but can't remember the address; I think it was hosted by Bravenet. |

I remember being a regular of the old forums, many years ago...
Nowadays, I don't run anything under 1GHz, so I don't have much of a use for old computer forums anymore |

heh, I know what you mean :/
The oldest computer I actually *use* is a 433mhz celeron (and that's only a router).
I've still got all my old computers (a couple of 486's, PI's & 8088 based pc's), but don't actually use them anymore
I occasionally power up my 5150 to stop the hdd sticking, but that's about it |

That's pretty much me down to a T as of late, though I have been playing with my old Power Mac 7100/80 lately, but I really have no real major NEED for my 286/486/P1/Macs, I do just about EVERYTHING I need done on my GEM Pentium III 667 machine, but it is nice to know I have plenty of backups availible |

I remember Peter posting a link to the "new" site on the Obsolete Computer Helpline. It took me a few months before I added it to my regular prowl pattern, but I eventually became a regular.
Back then, I was working at a place that was still using 386 DOS machines out on the factory floor, and I was using a 286 lunchbox to run the NC milling machine we used for making sample in the test lab. |

Indeed.. I remember the dreaded Raven. Actually was reminicing with a friend tonight about old times on the net and remembered this place. searched my old username and found this...
Great to see still chugging along!
I miss the old folk.. A confession here... I was only 17 when i started on that site. LOL I have considered restarting the old hobby though.. |

Welcome back!
Unfortunately, we haven't done a lot with the site since we rebuilt it. I guess like many here have already said, I've drifted away from the old computers scene. I have, though, within the last year played Parsec on my TI994/a. |

Your score is 202 (total of 350 points), in 866 moves.
This gives you the rank of Adventurer. |
