In the only terms that can be truely argued, I like AMD better. Everything else is subjective and benchmarks are only good to a point.
AMD CPUs tend to be cheaper than the "equivalent" Intel chip, but their motherboards tend to be more expensive. |

I'd say AMD all the way. Even the k6-2 line smashed the intel chips on a price/performance point. Today they just all out smash intel (thats why I have yet to build an intel system 100% from scratch) |

K6-2 and forward AMD good, yes but earlier I think intel was better. |
